Marjorie Taylor Greene is scheduled to make her second appearance on The View two days after leaving Congress in January — and a network insider is calling it “an audition,” Rob Shuter reported in his Naughty But Nice Substack on Thursday, December 18.
“She wants [to do] TV,” the insider added of the controversial politician, who announced her resignation from public office in November, “and ABC is paying very close attention.”
Producers are “impressed” by Greene’s recent media appearances, sources told Shuter.
“She understands television,” one source explained to him. “She’s provocative and she knows how to keep the conversation moving. That’s gold for daytime.”
“ABC likes that she doesn’t melt under pressure,” another insider added. “She holds her ground, but she doesn’t implode.”

The Representative from Georgia, 51, thanked the hosts for their “professional and kind” treatment of her during her Tuesday, November 4 appearance on the show.
“A lot of people wanted me to come on this show and say nasty things, all of us to fight,” Greene told the hosts. “People with powerful voices like me and you, especially women, we need to pave a new path.”
Whoopi Goldberg, 70, called Greene’s latest criticism of President Donald Trump “a miracle,” while Joy Behar argued that she was giving her “too much credit,” and suggested Greene may have more ambitious political plans.

“She wants to run for something else,” Behar, 83, said. “I mean, I’m happy to have her on our side now, but…”
“I don’t know if she’s on our side,” Goldberg responded, before opining that “something woke her up. And I’m happy that it did.”
Greene’s goal is to find a role in media, Shuter reported. “She’s done with Washington,” another source told him. “She wants a platform, not a committee.”
