A person riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland theme park in California was allegedly seen exiting the ride, causing a worker to bring the attraction to a halt.
TMZ reported on Tuesday, July 7, that a child allegedly got out of a log on the waterfall ride. Sources with knowledge of the situation said that the incident happened on Saturday, July 4, and that the Disneyland cast member saw it happening over the ride’s monitor.
Disneyland officials told the outlet that the incident was appropriately handled by cast members, who quickly stopped the attraction to assist guests before it could escalate any further.
Disney blogs, including Inside the Magic and WDW News Today, reported about a recent incident that took place on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that caused the ride to be put on hold for approximately 30 minutes.
While it’s unclear if it is the same incident reported by TMZ, a guest shared video on Instagram of people appearing to try and exit the log while they were already sitting.
Someone could be heard saying over the loudspeaker, “Remain right where you are.”

In the caption of the Instagram user’s post, they wrote, “The Disneyland version of this ride doesn’t have lap restraints like its counterpart in Florida and riders sit in a single row. We were stuck for over 30 minutes after the party in front exited their ride vehicle!”
A Disneyland spokesperson told Fox News that the 13-year-old attempted to exit the log flume ride before the vehicle went over the attraction’s 50-foot plunge.
In a video shared on social media, viewers can see the teen plummet down the ride’s final descent after trying to exit to the side of the vehicle. The ride was immediately stopped by a cast member, and the boy was taken to a local hospital to have his injuries evaluated.
According to People, the boy was later released from the hospital.
