President Donald Trump is making sure to leave a lasting impression on the White House.
During Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conference in Phoenix on Saturday, December 20, Fox News’ Jesse Watters said that the 79-year-old offered to show him a rendition of “the big, beautiful ballroom” he is having installed at the White House.
“I don’t know if you know this — the ballroom is huge,” the conservative political commentator, 47, explained to the crowd (via a clip posted to X), eliciting applause from those in attendance.

“I said, ‘Mr. President, the ballroom is four times the size of the White House,” Watters continued. “He said, ‘Jesse, it’s a monument. I’m building a monument to myself because no one else will.’”
The Apprentice alum recently said that the 90,000-square-foot ballroom — which replaces the previously demolished East Wing, also known as the space for the first lady and her staff — cost approximately $400 million.
It is one of many changes happening at the White House.

Trump recently had new plaques added to the Presidential Walk of Fame at the White House that insult former United States presidents.
Under a photo of Joe Biden, the former president was referred to as “Sleepy Joe,” and under a picture of Barack Obama, Trump wrote that the former president was “one of the most divisive political figures in American History.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that many of the newly added plaques “were written directly by the president himself.”
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts was also recently renamed to honor Trump.
The move was denounced by members of the Kennedy family, including JFK’s grandson Jack Schlossberg, who is running for Congress.
