Kylie Jenner has set her sights on Hollywood after making her acting debut in Charli xcx’s mockumentary The Moment.
“It’s a very fine line because she doesn’t want to upset [Timmy] but she definitely isn’t the type to hold something in when she wants it and she very much wants a shot at an acting career,” says Globe’s source.
The reality TV star, 28, earned rave reviews for her performance, with Vulture’s Jason P. Frank praising her “legitimate chops as a comic actress” and calling her cameo “the best scene in the movie.”
“She would love Timmy to help push her but there’s just no way he’s going to do that in the midst of his own Oscar campaign,” the source says of the Marty Supreme star, 30, who’s competing against Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael B. Jordan, Ethan Hawke and Wagner Moura in the Best Actor category.

“That’s been a hard pill to swallow because with all his connections, it does seem like he should have no problem helping her,” admits the source. “But there’s a lot of hesitation on his part so she’s not pushing.”
Jenner will get her chance to hobnob with the Hollywood elite, however, when she accompanies Chalamet to the 98th annual Academy Awards in March.
“She will be on his arm Oscar night and that is going to mean being up close and personal with a lot of the people that could make it happen,” reveals the source. “The problem is she does not feel the least bit comfortable with this crowd … She knows a lot of them judge her as beneath them.”
Adds the source: “To say she’s in knots over this night is an understatement.”
