King Charles III wished the world a happy holiday during his annual address on Christmas Day.
In his Thursday, December 25, message, the 77-year-old monarch spoke about how “we need to cherish the values of compassion and reconciliation” just two months after he stripped his brother Andrew Mountbatten Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew) of his royal titles.
Charles added that he hopes “we can find the strength to ensure that right triumphs over wrong” and said that “stories of the triumph of courage over adversity give me hope.”

The father of two also spoke of the birth of Jesus Christ, saying that the religious leader came down from Heaven with a purpose.
“There should be peace on earth,” said Charles. “That prayer for peace and reconciliation, for doing to others as we would have them do to us, which rang out over the fields near Bethlehem more than 2,000 years ago, still reverberates from there and around the world today. It is a prayer for our times and our communities, too, as we journey through our lives.”
“So with these words and my whole heart,” he concluded, “I wish you all the most peaceful and very happy Christmas.”

Earlier in the day, Charles and Queen Camilla — along with other members of the royal family — attended church services at St. Mary Magdalene Church.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie even made the trip to Sandringham, but their father, 65, and mother, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, 66, were nowhere to be found.
On October 30, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles stripped his brother of his royal titles and honors. Andrew and his ex-wife were also asked to vacate Royal Lodge, where they’ve lived practically rent-free for years.

Though the former Duke of York has never been charged with any crime, he has long been connected to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and more damning allegations against Andrew have come to light following the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir and parts of the Epstein files.
Andrew has consistently maintained his innocence and denied any wrongdoing.
