Kim Kardashian’s Daughter North Addresses Backlash Over Finger Piercings: ‘Why Are You Crying?’

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s preteen daughter, North West, has yet another message for her critics.

On Tuesday, December 9, the 12-year-old posted a new TikTok clip to the joint account she shares with her mother, 45, in which she defended her headline-making fashion choices.

“This is for everyone that’s mad over a finger piercing,” North wrote over the clip, addressing the dermal piercings on both of her middle fingers.

In the video, North lip-synced to audio that said, “Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together.”

As Globe reported, the Skims founder and her daughter previously addressed the single-point piercings on her fingers.

Last month, a TikTok user shared a video with overlay text that read, “North west getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart, just me?” adding in the caption, “What is going on #northwest #kardashians.”

Days later, the mother-daughter duo responded to the post through the Kim and North account, writing in the comments, “It’s okay,” alongside a heart hands emoji.

North debuted dermal piercings on her right middle finger in September. Piercing and jewelry company Lulu Ave has noted that such piercings carry risks, warning they “may not heal well due to the constant use of the hands and the risk of the jewelry getting snagged or bumped.”

While North’s recent looks have been met with some harsh criticism, the All’s Fair star had nothing but supportive words to say during a recent appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.

“It’s interesting because like all the kids are wearing the same things, but then my daughter tries to wear it and I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again,’” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum explained. “Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

Kardashian noted she wants to allow her daughter to express herself through her style. “I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” the mom of four said. “It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.”
