Disney Adult TikTok Influencer Mocked for ‘Uncomfortable’ Interaction With Peter Pan Actor
A woman on TikTok who has amassed a following making content with unsuspecting actors who play Peter Pan at Disneyland is starting to give her fans pause.
TikTok user Toni, 26, who has amassed 82K followers, has been posting videos and photos of herself meeting with Peter Pan actors at the Anaheim, California, theme park since 2015.
She routinely calls him her favorite character and is often seen in her videos running up to him, hugging him and giving him homemade gifts. The actors do not seem to be aware that these filmed interactions are going to happen, but it is not against the rules at Disneyland for guests to film.
While there is no shortage of Disney Adults — people who frequent the parks and make videos with the cast members there — who create content, something about Toni’s videos has people in her comments criticizing her for spending too much time with the cast members, who they believe are there for children, and making them uncomfortable.
In one recent video, Toni approaches a Peter Pan actor in the park and gifts him a toy plushie. While the actor continues to do his job and stays in character the entire time, many in the comments note that he seems uncomfortable.
“Girl this is an adult, let him work.. with KIDS,” one person wrote.
“I bet he wishes he could actually fly,” another added.
“Forced to stay in character but you can tell he’s so uncomfortable,” a third wrote.
Others in the comments noted that, after a very lengthy interaction with the Peter Pan actor, Toni and her camera person continued to follow him around the park, either to make more content with him or simply to get as much face time with him as possible.
Cast members at Disney parks have spoken out about uncomfortable interactions with adults before.
According to a June report in the Daily Mail, some Disney princess actresses have filed incident reports about sexual harassment from male guests, during which they were expected to stay in character throughout the ordeal.
