Lindsay Clancy Holdout Juror Poses With Newborn Daughter as Fundraiser Tops $370K

Michael Desronvil became one of the most talked-about figures in Lindsay Clancy‘s trial because of a single vote. Now, weeks after the Massachusetts case ended in a mistrial, more details are emerging about his life outside the courtroom.

Desronvil was the only juror who declined to join the other 11 in finding Lindsay, 36, not criminally responsible.

In unseen photos obtained by the New York Post on Sunday, September 20, Desronvil, 48, is seen smiling and cradling his newborn daughter.

The outlet reported that one image was taken on the day his daughter was born.

At the same time, an online fundraiser created to support Desronvil surpassed $370,000. The fundraiser’s organizer said the money would help cover security, legal expenses and lost work.

CT Insider reported on Monday, September 21, that donations surged after the juror publicly defended his decision after the mistrial.

As Globe — which has been extensively covering the high-profile Massachusetts murder trial — previously reported, Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4 after seven days of deliberations ended without a unanimous verdict.

“I didn’t have any doubts,” Desronvil said in a statement to CBS News, which the BBC reported on September 18.

“Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presents, I thought it was enough proof that she knew exactly what she was doing and planned,” he added.

Desronvil’s attorney, Edward Paltzik, has said his client received “death threats, doxxing, and harassment” after the trial and temporarily relocated to an undisclosed secure location, as reported by The New York Post.

Lindsay, 36, admitted to killing her children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. Her defense argued she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and was not criminally responsible.

Prosecutors argued she understood the wrongfulness of her actions.

Lindsay shared the three kids with ex-husband Patrick Clancy, who has since divorced her, remarried Dr. Rachel Danis, an infertility specialist, and moved to New York.

Patrick addressed the tragedy and its aftermath in his first televised interview, sitting down with CBS’s 60 Minutes, as Globe covered on Sunday, August 20.

Prosecutors have not announced whether they will retry Lindsay. Her next court hearing is scheduled for September 29.
