Dave Portnoy Says Tom Brady is ‘Lame-ifying’ His Legacy With ‘Cringey’ Logan Paul Stunts

Dave Portnoy has some big feelings when it comes to how Tom Brady is spending his time after retiring from the NFL.

Brady, 48, has been part of a staged feud with former YouTube influencer Logan Paul for weeks now. At Michael Rubin‘s Fanatics Fest over the weekend, the two got into a fake confrontation on stage that ended with the former Patriots quarterback hitting Paul, 31, in the head.

Portnoy, 49, spoke about that interaction along with a clip of Brady flipping the bird to Paul at the World Cup game during the Monday, July 20, episode of the Wake Up, Barstool podcast.

“This, to me, is one of the great downfalls of an icon with Tom Brady,” the Barstool Sports founder said. “The way he’s acting post-retirement, it’s a legacy that is being lame-ified.”

Portnoy explained that the term “lame-ified” is a term he uses referring to when someone “becomes very lame.”

“You don’t want to see him mixed up in lowbrow TikTok flag football leagues in Saudi Arabia or whatever it is,” he continued. “Everything about him is cringey right now to me.”

Portnoy had also previously expressed his disappointment in Brady’s behavior when he shared the clip of the former professional athlete and Paul at the World Cup.

“Can somebody please shake Tom Brady and tell him to get as far away from Michael Rubin as possible and stop lamifying his entire legacy,” Portnoy wrote alongside the clip.

As for Brady, he seemed to enjoy himself over the weekend and shared a carousel of photos from Fanatics Fest via Instagram, captioning the pics, “Had to rise from the dead (retirement) for @fanatics games.”
