After a massive round of layoffs at The Howard Stern Show, eight remaining staffers were identified in a recent social media post.
A video shared by the show’s official Instagram page on Sunday, July 19, showed a group of employees kicking around a soccer ball in the office ahead of the World Cup Final.
“⚽️ GOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!! ⚽️,” the caption read.
Longtime Howard Stern Show crewmembers JD Harmeyer, Jon Hein, Steve Nowicki, Jason Kaplan, Will Murray, Sal Governale, Richard Christy and Mike Pearlman were tagged in the video, which was shared just six days after a dozen of their coworkers were let go.
“Well, we know who made the cut now,” one follower commented.
“Does this mean everyone in the video is safe from the layoff? Hoping that’s the case,” another wrote.
The layoffs were announced after it was revealed that the longtime host, 72, will only be recording one live show per week beginning this fall.

The U.S. Sun reported that fan favorite producers Benjy Bronk, Jon Blitt, Memet Walker and Mike Trainor were some of the fired staffers.
“Howard can be ruthless like that,” a source told the publication.
Trainor confirmed the report via X, writing, “Incredibly grateful to Howard and the whole gang for the ride and excited for what’s next. If you know me, like me, or are even vaguely aware of me and don’t hate me and you’re working on something cool, hit me up.”
As Globe previously reported, in December 2025, the shock jock renewed his contract for an additional three years on air.
