Howard Stern‘s recently axed staffers are fuming after they were allegedly handed a paltry severance package and a strict non-disclosure agreement that could cost them their payout if they speak out.

“Everyone is grumbling about how he couldn’t figure out a way for the rest of his team to finish out the remainder of his three-year contract,” a source told The U.S. Sun in an article published on Monday, July 20. “He’s a millionaire who got there with the help of his team, it’s incredible that these guys, who are all older, have to go and hit the pavement when they should be simply focused on retirement.”

The payout was especially disappointing, one source told the outlet.

“You’d think Howard would have been generous with these guys, some who worked for him for decades, but nope!” the source claimed. “Each decade of service to the show got just two months of severance, and a horrible NDA saying they’ll lose even that if they say a [expletive] word.”

The Sun reported that the former shock jock’s staffers were dismissed from their positions via a Zoom call last week at around 3 p.m. and were told to leave immediately. Another source told the publication that the employees who were let go were “gone that day.”

Benjy Bronk, Jon Blitt, Memet Walker and Mike Trainor, who were longtime fan favorite writers and producers, were three of the people let go, and a separate source previously told The U.S. Sun that “Howard can be ruthless like that.”

“The guy worked there for over 25 years and was both on air and behind the scenes,” the source added, referring to Bronk. “He’s one of the most talented guys there.”

As Globe previously reported, Stern, 72, laid off around 12 members of his staff as he plans to drop his Sirius XM show down to just one episode per week.

According to Page Six, the Private Parts actor kept a core group of people but let go additional staffers because “he just doesn’t need that much content anymore.”
