North West is once again stirring up debate online with her increasingly edgy style choices.
On Monday, May 25, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s eldest daughter raised eyebrows after posting a series of videos to TikTok appearing to show off a daring new wrist piercing alongside multiple finger studs and heavy silver jewelry.
The 12-year-old sported her signature electric blue hair, furry boots and oversized gray clothing while piling on chunky chains and skull-inspired accessories.
Fans immediately sounded off on North’s grown-up look.
“as much as I like north she’s not alt,” wrote one fan.
“Where is Kim Kardashian? I don’t see her,” pondered another, perhaps referring to the fact that the account is supposed to be shared by both mother and daughter.
“Filming ig,” replied a fan under the comment.

In a separate post of North shared to her Instagram back in August 2025, fans also sounded off on the cluster of hand piercings.
“Kanye should have full custody,” wrote one fan whose comment racked up nearly 2,000 likes.
However, reps for North told the Daily Mail in a Tuesday, May 26 report that the apparent wrist piercing was actually just a sticker and not permanent body jewelry.
But North has largely brushed off the criticism online and even referenced the controversy in her music.
The aspiring performer recently released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, and, per the Daily Mail, is slated to make a major festival appearance this summer at Chicago’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash alongside major hip-hop stars.
