Josh Duggar’s Wife Anna Slammed For Selling $2K Puppies Amid Reports That He’s Broke in Prison

Anna Duggar is getting slammed by critics for charging $2,000 for Golden Retriever puppies from her breeding business.

The former reality TV star, 37, has been selling English Cream AKC Golden Retrievers, but several people think the price is outrageous.

“Looking for a furry friend? Just $2,000. They are ready to come home in one week,” a caption on one of the photos shared via Instagram read, per The U.S. Sun on Tuesday, September 9.

The details about the price of the pups has since been removed from the business’s Instagram account, but the outlet included some of the comments from people complaining about the cost.

“That seems excessive when she hasn’t had a chance to perfect the breed, figure out faults, etc.,” read one comment. “There is a lot that goes into professional breeding. Guarantee she doesn’t understand any of it beyond make them mate, birth, sell, repeat.”

Another added that they felt the $2,000 price tag was “insane.”

The news came just two weeks after Globe reported that Anna’s husband, Josh Duggar, had only 20 cents left in his prison bank and nothing in his savings earlier this year in April, according to articles from The Sun and The Blast.

Josh, 37, has allegedly been cut off by his family as he serves out his 12-year sentence behind bars after being found guilty of possessing and receiving child pornography in June 2022.

“Movant currently performs a prison work assignment but does not receive any pay for compensation. Therefore, Movant has no employment income to report,” court documents obtained by the outlet read. “Movant currently has no personal or real property possessions in his ownership…Movant occasionally receives money from family and friends, but has not during the reporting time for this request.”
