Woman Faces Backlash After Sharing Dealbreaker Video About First Dates: ‘Offer to Send Me a Car’

A standup comedian’s now-viral video has sparked a real conversation about modern dating after many took the post seriously.

Savannah Pagnozzi often shares videos on her social media about dating in New York City with hot takes on dealbreakers such as men with jobs, dogs or no ability to send a car for her on their date being unattractive and, thus, cause to cancel a date.

On July 1, she shared one video in which she declared that a man picking a bad restaurant for a date — in this context, one that was cheap — is a dealbreaker.

“I was supposed to go on a date last night and I canceled it and here’s why,” she began in the video. “He picked a lame restaurant. The restaurant you pick says a lot about you and I take my restaurant game very seriously.”

“If we’re not compatible on the restaurant you choose, we’re not going to be compatible on a lot of other things,” Pagnozzi continued. “Like 3 dollar signs minimum, preferably four, white tablecloth and you need to offer to send me a car to get there, OK? Thank you.”

Despite the video being made for comedy, many in the comments were outraged and took to the comment section.

“Lmao… actually, the restaurant he chooses says more ABOUT YOU…. and u madam, are Chili’s material…” one user wrote.

“Women thinking we want to pay $300 for a first date are crazy,” another person wrote. “I save the good restaurants for when I know she’s into me. Coffee and a walk boys.”

“This is a good litmus test tbh I’m gonna start bringing girls to the worst restaurants I can find just to see if they react like this or if they’re normal,” a third wrote.

“She is so considerate, she just saved that guy months of misery,” commented another.

Pagnozzi has yet to address the backlash her video received.
