Troubled former Home Improvement kid Zachery Ty Bryan has been clobbered with 16 months in the slammer for DUI after his sixth arrest in five years, according to TMZ.
The 44-year-old, who from ages 9 to 17 played Brad Taylor, the eldest son of star Tim Allen on the hit sitcom from 1991 to 1999, pleaded guilty to driving while nearly double the legal alcohol limit and will serve slightly over 14 months, with 57 days already served for a 2024 DUI in La Quinta, Calif.
Legal records reportedly show he’s also admitted to having two previous DUI convictions.
Bryan’s also still in hot water for violating his probation for a domestic assault charge he pleaded guilty to in 2023 against galpal Johnnie Faye Cartwright, 32, in Eugene, Ore. In that incident, police first charged him with felony strangulation and fourth-degree assault of Cartwright during an argument, but he later pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor domestic violence.

He has reportedly denied violating his probation for that incident, but a probation officer recommended he serve 19 to 20 months.

In 2024, costar Allen told The Hollywood Reporter that he doesn’t “know what’s going on with” the former child star through all his troubles. “Zach is a great kid who has grown into a complex man.”
