Cher ‘Doesn’t Trust’ Son Elijah Blue Allman’s Wife: ‘All She Does Is’ ‘Use Him for His Money’

Cher is still at her wit’s end over wayward son Elijah Blue Allman and a source says she’s barely communicating with anyone right now, with loved ones led by boyfriend Alex “AE” Edwards all struggling to get through, let alone lift her shattered spirits.

“This battle with Elijah is sucking the life out of her,” reveals the source. “She’s fighting so hard to save him and there’s just no end in sight, especially now that her daughter-in-law is back in the picture and fighting to get herself named as his guardian.”

As Globe previously reported, the “Believe” singer, 80, is attempting to establish a conservatorship over her son’s estate following his psychiatric hospitalization. However, Allman’s wife, Marieangela King not only opposed the petition but also argued that if the court should decide a conservator is necessary that she be the one appointed.

“Cher doesn’t trust Marieangela as far as she can throw her. She says all she does is enable Elijah and use him for his money,” snipes the source. “She’s hell-bent on stopping her, but it’s taking a huge toll, especially because there’s no end in sight.”

Back in February, Cher’s son found himself in the headlines when he was arrested twice in three days in New Hampshire for allegedly attempting to enter a girls’ dormitory and breaking into a home.

Allman, who currently remains in the custody of the state, is awaiting trial on the first charge after waiving his arraignment and has pleaded not guilty to the second.

“There are days when all she can do is cry,” the source says of Cher. “She’s usually very social, but she doesn’t want to go anywhere or see anybody right now.”

Even date nights with AE, 39, “have pretty much stopped,” the source adds.

“She’s supposed to be hosting a charity event at her house in November and she’s already dreading it,” shares the source. “The idea of putting on a brave face and entertaining people feels exhausting.”
