Mel Gibson protégé Rudy Youngblood was taken into police custody after he was allegedly found to be in possession of meth during an October arrest, according to Daily Mail.
The 43-year-old actor, who played the lead role of Jaguar Paw in Apocalypto, the Braveheart star’s 2006 Oscar-nominated movie, was originally pulled over for speeding. But when officers ran his license, it allegedly showed there was a warrant out for his arrest, according to City of Brownsboro Chief of Police Scott Myntti.

The warrant involved an incident from October, when officers stopped Youngblood at a boat ramp in Bell County, Texas, on accusations he’d assaulted a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation.
During the stop, officers found a baggie of what appeared to be meth, along with a metal scale, a straw and a glass pipe on him, court documents claim. When testing confirmed the substance was meth, a warrant was issued for his arrest, leading to Youngblood being taken into custody on Jan. 21.
He allegedly possessed between one and four grams of the drug, a felony that could land him behind bars for up to two years and also involve a $10,000 fine.
The Hell on the Border star was booked into the Henderson County Jail in Athens, Texas, and at press time was still in custody.

Youngblood has a history of run-ins with the law. In December 2024, he was arrested in Athens, Greece, after police alleged he was intoxicated and threatening them with a knife. He was charged with resisting arrest, making threats and carrying a weapon.
But the actor claimed the officers weren’t wearing uniforms or any identifying insignia and didn’t explain his rights. He received a 10-month suspended prison sentence, but remained behind bars due to an expired visa, triggering a deportation order. He later appealed the order and then left Greece voluntarily.
In 2017, he was arrested in Miami for disorderly intoxication, but the case was eventually dismissed.
Besides his breakthrough role in Apocalypto, Youngblood has appeared in the 2023 horror film The Haunting of Hell Hole Mine, as well as 2021’s Dandelion Season, 2018’s Attrition and 2015’s Wind Walkers.
