Rosie O’Donnell Sold All Her US Property Before Ireland Move Amid President Trump’s Second Term
Rosie O’Donnell put all her eggs in her Irish basket.
The former talk show host, 64, relocated to Ireland after President Donald Trump took office for a second time in 2025. Now, O’Donnell reveals she sold off all of her real estate properties in the United States.
“I sold everything,” she told Andy Cohen during her Tuesday, June 16, appearance on his Sirius XM radio show. “I had a big four-bedroom penthouse and it was, you know, I thought all my kids would love to come in all the time. They never came in.”
“I was there with three empty bedrooms, you know, and my little one still sleeps in the bed with me, so I had three empty bedrooms in this four-bedroom place and I thought, you know, we don’t know how long Trump’s going to stay in,” she added. “When he’s done, I will come back.”
The A League of Their Own actress revealed that she had relocated to Dublin with her 13-year-old child in March 2025, saying that she would return to New York “when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America.”
O’Donnell has been a longtime opponent of Trump, 80, previously calling him a “liar, and a fraud, and a fake” during an October 2025 appearance on Today
“He’s been threatening for 20 years to sue me. [But] you can’t sue someone who tells the truth about you,” she said.
Just this week, O’Donnell called the president “disgraceful and embarrassing” after his UFC Freedom 250 birthday celebration.
