Angelina Jolie is planning to ditch the U.S. for a new life abroad, but one member of her sprawling brood wants to stay put in California, sources tell Globe.
Eldest daughter Zahara Jolie, 21, is begging her Oscar-winning mom, 50, to buy her a home in Los Angeles where she can put down her own roots, an insider reveals.

“Angie is serious about moving abroad later this year. She wants to create a base in Europe and make films there, too. Folks in England and France love her and show up to see her movies,” says the insider.
“But her six kids, who are all independent-minded with their own interests, are a different story. For Zahara, staying in California is not about being closer to her father,” Brad Pitt. “It’s about the culture of the city itself.”

The former couple’s kids, Zahara, Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Shiloh, 19, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, have long been estranged from dad Brad.
According to their divorce agreement, Angie can leave L.A. when the twins turn 18 in July — and insiders say she’ll skedaddle ASAP!
But Zahara, who was 6 months old when Angie adopted her from an orphanage in Ethiopia, doesn’t want to follow, sources say.

A student at Spelman College in Atlanta, Zahara sparked engagement rumors last June when she was spotted wearing what looked like a massive diamond ring on her left ring finger. She also flashed the sparkler on a date night in Hollywood with Elijah Cooper, an actor who studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta and lives in L.A.
“Zahara grew up in Los Angeles and wants to raise her own kids here. Southern California is the only home she’s ever known,” adds our source. “Angie respects that, at least for now. Because of Zahara’s affinity for Los Angeles, Angie and her kids will always have a home base here, and a luxurious one.
“None of them, including Zahara, are used to roughing it. They want the best of everything and Angie gives it to them.”
