Though it goes against the rhetoric he spewed about how women should prioritize marriage and family over working, it seems Charlie Kirk did in fact appoint his wife, Erika Kirk, as the next leader of Turning Point USA before his death on September 10, 2025.
The Daily Mail reports that the outlet has obtained a never-before-seen video from a Turning Point donor conference held in Aspen, Colorado just three weeks before the right-wing extremist talking head was slain at the age of 31. In the video, Kirk reportedly addresses a crowd of around 200 donors, and fields a question from one of them.
“Kind of a hard question to ask, but I think it’s probably important to everybody in this room and I’m wondering about Turning Point’s succession plan should, God forbid, something happen to you,” asked the individual.
”What a great question,” responded Charlie. “A lot of my job is not always in the day-to-day details. It’s very much vision casting, very much driving success. We have a great board and God forbid if something happens, they’ll figure it out. I appoint my wife to run Turning Point USA if something happens to me. Erika would do a great job.”
Erika, 37, was indeed appointed to be the CEO of Turning Point after Charlie was allegedly assassinated while speaking at Utah Valley University.
The video has still not been released, but the Daily Mail says that their reporters were given access to it and spoke to donors who were in the room.
