Priscilla Presley Admits She Worries About Son Navarone After Death of Lisa Marie: ‘He’s a Loner’
Priscilla Presley’s son, Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, is finally sober after years of struggling with addiction, but her maternal fears haven’t gone away.
“I worry about him,” the Dallas alum, 80, told fans at a stop on her Priscilla Presley Talk Tour at SoulJoel’s in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, December 7.
“He’s a loner,” she added of the rock musician, 38, whose father is her ex, Marco Garibaldi Garcia. “He has a few friends, but I worry.”
Garcia — who joined his mom on several stops of her book tour for her memoir, Softly As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, this year — first began to “dabble” in heroin use when he was a teen, he told People in 2023, and later moved on to fentanyl.
After multiple stints in rehab, the Them Guns lead singer finally got clean when he detoxed at his mother’s house in 2020.
“He’s been sober ever since, so I’m really happy for him,” Priscilla told People. “He’s in a good place. We made it.”
Priscilla’s other child, daughter Lisa Marie, died suddenly from a small bowel obstruction caused by complications from bariatric surgery in 2023. She was 54.
