On Saturday, August 29, the Irish Star reported that there are rumors that the 80-year-old commander-in-chief’s executive assistant, Natalie Harp, is “obsessed” with him.
The outlet reported that journalist Michael Wolff has alleged that things are contentious with the first lady, 56, and Harp, 35. He has written on his Howl Substack that she “would not show up” if Harp was around in one post, and that she and the president “barely speak” or spend time together in another post.
“A marriage where two people are reportedly barely speaking is clearly not in a healthy place. Communication is the heartbeat of any long term relationship,” relationship expert Gemma Logan told the Irish Star. “When conversation becomes minimal, couples can start living parallel lives rather than a shared one. At that point, the question isn’t simply whether they spend time together, but whether they still feel emotionally connected when they do.”

On August 18, Wolff appeared on The Daily Beast‘s Inside Trump’s Head podcast, hosted by Joanna Coles, and provided insight into Donald’s relationship with Harp and how Melania feels.
“Even people within the White House say that Natalie was one of the people who argued for the ballroom and getting rid of the East Wing,” Wolff claimed. “She has worked to put herself into the position that she is the woman closest to Donald Trump.”
As Harp has entered Donald’s inner circle, Wolff said Melania “has removed herself from political life and removed herself from Trump life.”

“She does not live in the White House … people in the White House believe that she has not spent a night at the White House during this term,” Wolff stated. “Melania is clearly building her own separate life, her separate brand, a separate business, probably having a fine time about it.”
