President Donald Trump kicked off his morning with one of his most provocative social media posts yet — an AI-generated image that takes direct aim at his predecessor’s administration.

The digitally created caricature, which Trump, 79, shared Thursday, May 7, on Truth Social, depicts former President Joe Biden, asleep in the Oval Office wearing pajamas while former President Barack Obama is seen rolling in a box labeled “AUTOPEN.” Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appears in the scene apparently overseeing the disorder, while Hunter Biden is shown draped across the Resolute Desk next to what appears to be cocaine and a melting tub of ice cream.

Trump accompanied the image with the caption, “A highly accurate depiction of the Sleepy Joe Biden Administration. Tremendous damage done but, WE’RE BACK!!! President DJT.”

The meme plays into longstanding claims pushed by Trump and his allies that 83-year-old Biden’s staff relied on autopen signatures and concealed the former president’s cognitive decline while others wielded power behind closed doors. No evidence has emerged to support allegations that anyone other than Biden exercised presidential authority during his term.

The meme is the latest in a string of AI-generated content from the president’s social media account. Trump has previously shared digitally altered images portraying himself as Jesus Christ — he later explained he thought it was him as a doctor — as well as an image depicting himself as the Pope following the death of Pope Francis in 2025.

The AI-generated posts have drawn sharp criticism from opponents who view them as beneath the office of the presidency. Whether the AI memes land as comedy or controversy largely depends on who’s watching, but one thing is clear — as AI generated content becomes an increasingly common fixture of political communication, the line between presidential messaging and internet trolling continues to blur.
