Kris Jenner ‘Feared She Was Second Best’ to Robert Kardashian’s Former Lover Priscilla Presley

Kris Jenner is having to grapple with her emotions from the past following the release of Priscilla Presley’s new memoir, according to a source.

As Globe previously reported, in Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, Priscilla, 80, dished on her romance with the late Robert Kardashian, noting they had different life paths when they were together.

According to her, the former attorney wanted to eventually move towards marriage — however, she was not ready to walk down the aisle again following her 1973 divorce from Elvis Presley.

“It’s hurting Kris having this sensitive topic dredged up all over again,” a source tells Globe. “It’s difficult for Kris, who is well aware of these revelations.”

Kardashian and Priscilla dated after she ended her relationship with Mike Stone, and before he married Jenner, 69, in 1978.

The insider notes that the reality TV personality “always feared she was second best” to the Dallas alum and was worried that Kardashian was “carrying a torch for Priscilla” and saw her as “the one that got away.”

“She could see it in his eyes and behavior,” the insider explained. “He was devoted to Priscilla and considered her a good friend even after their breakup.”

Kardashian and Jenner eventually divorced in 1991.

Despite Priscilla and Kardashian calling it quits, she gushed about him as a person in her book.

“He was the kindest of men,” she penned, “and I remember him with great affection.”
