Priscilla Presley Reveals Elvis Once Called Her While She Was In Bed With Robert Kardashian

Priscilla Presley was still keeping up with Elvis Presley following their 1973 divorce!

Shortly after her breakup with Mike Stone — who she had an affair with during her marriage to the “Love Me Tender” singer — Priscilla, 80, began dating Robert Kardashian Sr.

However, Elvis’ continued involvement in her life complicated matters. “He had an unfortunate habit of phoning late at night when I was with another man,” the Naked Gun actress explains in her memoir, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, recounting one time when the music legend called at 2 a.m., while Kardashian was asleep next to her.

“I  leaped out of bed and grabbed the phone before it woke him,” she recalls, and “tiptoed” to the guest room, where she listened to Elvis excitedly tell her about a show he’d just finished.

“It hadn’t crossed his mind that I might have been asleep. It had certainly never occurred to him that I might be with another man,” she writes in the memoir, noting Elvis “couldn’t wrap his head around” Priscilla dating someone else.

Elvis would “have gone ballistic, maybe literally, if he’d known Robert was in my bedroom,” she writes.

Though she speaks fondly of Kardashian, she admits the two had different aspirations, with Kardashian wanting to marry while Priscilla wasn’t ready to walk down the aisle at the time.

The exes remained friends, she writes, “and I saw the agony he went through during the O.J. Simpson trial. The realization that his friend had committed the murders nearly destroyed him.”

Priscilla also shares that Kim Kardashian called her from the hospital ahead of Robert’s 2003 death at 58, and the pair had  “one last conversation.”

“He was the kindest of men,” she writes, “and I remember him with great affection.”

Kris Jenner previously wrote about the relationship in her 2011 memoir, Kris Jenner … and All Things Kardashian, revealing that Priscilla “had been a big part of Robert’s life.”
