Kim Kardashian no longer cares about hiding her ex-husband Kanye West’s alleged bad behavior toward her, according to a source.
A source tells Globe that the Skims founder, 45, is “done being scared” of the rapper, 48 — who she was married to from 2014 to 2022 — and “wants people to understand what she went through.”
“For years she protected him and made excuses, she wasn’t exaggerating when she said she had Stockholm syndrome,” the source remarks, referring to the businesswoman’s statement she made during the season seven premiere of The Kardashians.
“She did not want to see the ugly reality. But she’s finally broken free of that and is strong enough to tell her truth,” the source explains. “After years of worrying about how it would affect Kanye, she’s done.”
The source notes that the reality TV star — who shares childrenNorth, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with the Grammy winner — has plenty of proof on her side.
“She’s got all the receipts of his abhorrent behavior — all the text messages and crazy emails that he sent her over the years — [and they] paint a very disturbing picture,” the source claims. “And apparently there’s plenty of video too.”

In last week’s episode of The Kardashians, the mom of four reflected on what it’s been like dealing with the “Gold Digger” hitmaker.
“I always felt like I had a little bit of Stockholm syndrome, to where I always felt really bad and always protected and always wanted to help,” she admitted. “And this was the first time I didn’t feel that responsibility, personally, you know, ‘I should’ve stuck it out, I could’ve helped.’”
In her confessional, the All’s Fair star cleared up the public’s misunderstanding of the situation.
“As much as people think I have the luxury of walking away and not dealing ever again, that’s not my reality,” she remarked. “This person — we have four kids together.”
“It’s very confusing, because it’ll be all this talk on the internet of like, ‘I’m keeping the kids.’ He’s never once called and asked, but then I’ll wake up, and it’s on Twitter that I’m keeping the kids,” Kardashian added. “When it’s not true and not rational, I just have to… I can’t engage all the time.”
