Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Her Mom Text Chain Was ‘Blowing Up’ Over Onscreen Kiss With Timothee Chalamet

Gwyneth Paltrow’s friends had plenty to say about her steamy onscreen kiss with Timothée Chalamet — and the group chat receipts prove it.

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar winner, 53, revealed that her mom-friend text chain erupted the moment behind-the-scenes photos surfaced from her upcoming A24 film Marty Supreme, where she plays an actress entangled in an affair with Chalamet’s ping-pong prodigy.

Paltrow’s group chats were, “Blowing up. Blow–ing–up!” she told the outlet, adding that her L.A. and U.K. mom group pals spammed her phone with screenshots of her and the 29-year-old star locked in an on-set kiss.

“They were all sending me these pictures, like, ‘Yessss, G.P.!’” she explained. “Everyone was thrilled.”

However, while the moms were cheering, Paltrow says her own kids — who she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin — had very different reactions.

Paltrow’s daughter, Apple, 21, thought it was “awesome,” while her son, Moses, 19, was “mortified” and couldn’t bear to look.

The actress, who hasn’t starred in a major film in years while running her Goop empire, said returning to set, and being, er, thrust into a hot-and-heavy Chalamet makeout felt surreal.

“I was like, ‘Do I even remember how to do this?’” she admitted.

Fans will find out when the flick hits theatres Christmas Day.
