Cher is beside herself with worry, a source tells Globe, after a judge denied her request to put troubled son Elijah Blue Allman under a temporary conservatorship.
“She’s doing her best to keep positive … but it’s very hard. He’s her child and he’s clearly in a very bad way,” says the source. “The worst part is he’s so angry with her, he’s made her the enemy.”
As Globe previously reported, Cher, 79, recently found out Allman fathered a secret grandchild. “Elijah never wanted his mom to be in the kid’s life because of their damaged relationship,” a source told The Daily Enquirer.

Cher’s latest legal move does not appear to have eased tensions, either.
‘She only [tried] to get a conservatorship because she believed [Elijah] will kill himself with drugs if she doesn’t step in,” Globe’s source notes. “But he doesn’t see it that way, and he’s vowed to tear her to shreds when he takes the stand.”
A trial date for charges related to Allman’s first arrest has been set for Tuesday, June 16, according to WMUR.
“He’s so angry, he wants to use any platform he can to hit out at his mom,” reveals the source. “It’s horrible for poor Cher. She has so many things in her life to celebrate, including her big birthday, but it’s very hard for her to separate from the pain of this.”
Not even boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards can get a smile out of the “Stronger” singer, adds the source. “She’s so down.”
