Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump Are ‘Paranoid,’ Firing Staff Amid Leak Fears After DUI Arrest

Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump are reportedly nervous about their staff leaking stories to the press, and they’re taking steps to ensure all lips are sealed.

Page Six reported on Wednesday, April 22, that Woods, 50, and Trump, 48, have let some of their employees go amid his recent DUI arrest and the Masters champ entering rehab.

The outlet added that despite Woods and Trump not having a “big staff,” the couple is “paranoid of leaks” and she “hates the press.”

As Globe previously reported, Woods was arrested and charged with a DUI, reckless driving and improper stopping on March 27 after getting into a car accident that caused him to roll his SUV.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said that while the pro golfer was “lethargic on scene,” he blew a 0.0 on a breathalyzer. Days later, Page Six obtained a copy of Woods’ arrest affidavit which stated that an officer who responded to the crash found “two white pills inside [his] left side pant pocket.” They were later “revealed to be hydrocodone.”

A toxicology report found drugs in Woods’ system at the time. On March 31, he pleaded guilty to reckless driving and, per TMZ, entered a DUI diversion program, received 12 months’ probation and was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.

That same day, he released a statement regarding the incident on X.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health,” Woods wrote. “This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally.”

He has since entered a 90-day inpatient treatment program in Switzerland, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

Despite the distance between Trump and Woods at the moment, their relationship is still going strong.

“Tiger needed to do intensive therapy, and his girlfriend Vanessa has been in favor of it,” a source told People in a story published on Sunday, April 19. “She still supports this and supports him. She loves him and knows that private treatment was necessary.”
