In court documents filed on Friday, August 21, and obtained by Globe, attorneys for Donna Motsinger claim that Bill, 88, has failed to turn over requested financial information while he and his wife, Camille Cosby, have allegedly been selling assets and moving the money.
Court documents state, “The information sought is perishable. The asset interrogatories are urgent. The Cosbys have been rapidly liquidating assets and then dissipating the cash from the sale.”
The filing points specifically to the former Cosby Show star’s art collection.
“Based on subpoena responses from banks, it is clear that Cosby has liquidated his assets in the past six years, including over $30 million in art sales by Camille Cosby’s brother and subsequent transfers of proceeds to accounts controlled by the Cosbys, and then dissipated all cash proceeds from those asset sales,” the lawyers allege.

The latest filing comes five months after a California civil jury found Bill liable for drugging and sexually assaulting Motsinger in 1972. She was eventually awarded $59.25 million.
As Globe previously reported, Motsinger, now 84, was working as a server at a restaurant at the time, and she alleged Bill invited her to a comedy show before giving her wine and a pill. She said she later lost consciousness and woke up at home partially undressed.
Bill didn’t testify at the March trial, and after the verdict, his attorney said that the comedian’s legal team intended to appeal.
