Riley Keough Feels ‘Connected’ to Late Mom Lisa Marie Presley, Recalls Moments ‘Too Weird to Not Be Something’

Riley Keough has a spiritual connection with her late mom, Lisa Marie Presley. 

On Tuesday, November 4, the Daisy Jones & The Six alum, 36, spoke to People at the Academy x Chanel’s Women’s Luncheon about how she thinks Presley has sent signs her way to symbolize she’s happy with how her memoir From Here to the Great Unknown turned out.

Following Presley’s tragic passing in 2023, Keough completed the book, which was eventually published in October 2024.

“I think if you’re open to those things, they’re kind of everywhere,” Keough told the outlet. “I really do believe that.”

“So, I certainly feel connected to whatever that world may be. I do feel connected to it, yeah,” she continued. “There are certainly moments that are very… too weird to not be something.”

Keough is now releasing an afterword for the paperback version of the book, which will be available on Tuesday, November 11.

Publisher Penguin Random House told People that Keough, “reflects on the journey of bringing From Here to the Great Unknown into the world and her search for a sign that her mother was at peace with its publication,” in the afterword.

Overall, Keough told People that since releasing the memoir, she “was really just happy that it was done and out in the world.”

“And it felt like, no pun intended, but a closed chapter,” she admitted, “I think I did something I was meant to do.”
