President Donald Trump Threatens to End Iran’s ‘Whole Civilization’ If Demands Aren’t Met

President Donald Trump has threatened to decimate all of Iran if the government does not meet his deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” Trump, 79, wrote in a Tuesday, April 7 Truth Social post.

He went on to note that he hopes better minds will prevail and “something revolutionarily wonderful” will happen to prevent further attacks.

“We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!” he concluded.

The heated post comes days after Trump shared a similarly threatening post on Easter Sunday, in an attempt to get the Iranian government to accept his terms.

The United States has been in direct conflict with Iran since February 28 when the USA and Israel launched attacks on the country. A result of the war has been the closure of the  Strait of Hormuz, a major shipping line, which has led to rising gas prices around the world.

According to People, Trump elaborated on his strategy at a press conference on Monday, April 6.

“Because of the power of our military, every bridge in Iran will be decimated, every power plant in Iran will be out of business, burning, exploding and never to be used again,” he said, adding, “I hope I don’t have to do it.”
