Popular Influencer Dead at 20 After Vehicle Plunges Into Ravine

Mexican influencer Ivonne Enriquez Ramirez, known on social media as “Dulce Enriquez,” died at age 20 on January 19, her sister confirmed.

“With deeply broken hearts, we share the painful passing of my beloved little sister Sweet Ivonne Enriquez Ramirez,” Enriquez Ramirez’s sister, Michel, shared via Facebook. “As a family, this moment breaks our souls.”

“Nothing prepares us for a loss like this. We want to wholeheartedly thank each person who lifted up a prayer, sent a message, a word of encouragement, or accompanied us with love during this very difficult time,” she continued. “Every show of love, every thought and every prayer reached us and held us up when we had no strength anymore.”

The late content creator was reportedly driving on the Barranca Larga-Ventanilla highway in Santa María Huatulco at around 8 a.m. on January 9, Milenio reported. The town’s mayor, Julio César Cárdenas Ortega, was also in the car when it overturned and fell into a 164-foot ravine.

Mayor Ortega announced after the accident that he was “stable and out of danger.”

Enriquez Ramirez survived for 10 days in the hospital following the accident.

“We deeply appreciate the prayers, support and solidarity, and ask the community to report only through official family channels,” Michel wrote on January 10.
