Pete Hegseth was called out after a “disgusting” rant about ridding the Pentagon of wokeness, revealing that one out of every five generals and admirals has been eliminated.

“We are no longer the woke department, or the weak department,” the Secretary of Defense, 46, said on Wednesday, September 30, in his “State of the Force Address,” posted by journalist Aaron Rupar on X.

“Simple translation of that? No fatties, no trannies, no beardos, no weirdos, no wimps, no radicals. Just warriors,” he added. “Just tough, ready, committed troops…The ideological clowns are out. The patriotic cowboys are in, with testosterone testing on top.”

Social media went wild with some calling out Hegseth’s past blunders, including sending war plans in a Signal group chat, and others simply pointing out the absurdity.

“Imagine having the Pentagon at your disposal and still thinking your biggest threat is a guy with a beard,” one X user wrote. “This isn’t warrior culture. It’s middle-school cafeteria politics with uniforms.”

“This isn’t even just weird anymore, it’s extremely worrying,” another wrote.

Another added, “Jesus… they’re all just a complete embarrassment. This is like something someone in high school would say.”

“What a disgusting human being,” yet another said, as another responded, “Why is he talking like he’s not badly losing a war?”

In a separate portion of his speech posted by Rupar, the former Fox News host announced, “Today, at my direction, I’m establishing the Office of Religious Affairs. It will report straight to the top — a direct line to the secretary. […] As Psalm 33:12 extolls us, blessed is the nation in which God is the Lord.”

This also did not go over well, with many critics taking to social media to call out the secretary’s hypocrisy.

“And these people have the audacity to label the Iranians as ‘radical religious fanatics,'” one user shared via X.

“The U.S. military serves the Constitution, not a church,” another wrote.
