A shocking number of Bigfoot occurrences continues to explode across Northeast Ohio and creature followers believe severe winter storms may be forcing the gigantic hairy monsters out of their normal hiding places.
Stunned witnesses — mostly from Portage County and between Akron and Youngstown — are showing photos of massive footprints a whopping 17 inches long that would fit with a critter considerably taller than 7 feet, while others buzz about seeing a hairy phantom looming up to 10 feet tall and hearing spine-chilling screams, as reported by Fox 8.

“Some of those screams pegged higher than a baboon on the spectrograph, and that is evidence,” insists Mike Miller, cofounder of the Ohio Night Stalkers Bigfoot Research Group, according to The New York Post.
He believes heavy snowstorms have pushed the creatures out of their normal habitat to more populated areas where they’ve been spotted.

Jeremiah Byron, host of the Bigfoot Society podcast, emphasized the eerie sighting by two hikers, one of whom was totally frazzled while telling him, per The New York Post: “I know what I saw — but I don’t know what I saw.”
As Globe magazine reported last month, the sightings began March 6 in Mantua Center, where “a guy and his friend were hiking on the Headwaters Trail and they saw a 10-foot Sasquatch,” noted Byron.
“It was grunting at them [and] it turned its head at the shoulders, not neck.
“That’s a very important detail — which hardcore Bigfooters will realize that, that’s pretty crazy,” he added.

On March 9, he says a gal from Windham, who previously believed Bigfoot was a bunch of baloney, insisted she saw “a hair-covered creature … on two legs not walking like a bear but like a human … running in and out of the woods.”
Just 24 hours later, a Newton Township man said his dog began “freaking out” when he took it for an early morning walk at 4 a.m.
“[The pet] lunges towards the wood line, the gentleman looks out there and he sees a large black shadowing figure out in the tree line and it’s about nine to 10 feet tall,” said Byron. “The dog couldn’t stop shaking!”
Also on March 10, a woman and her daughter were driving and came within three feet of a “lean brown figure” that was approximately 6½ feet tall — shorter than a typical Sasquatch— that was walking into oncoming traffic.
The Bigfoot Society believes the diverse sightings in the area “strongly support the theory that we are dealing with a family unit or a multi-generational group.”
However, despite the number of cellphone cameras in use, none of the witnesses have been able to snap a photo of the hairy giant.
