North West Instagram Vanishes Following Weeks of Backlash Over Her Photos

North West has seemingly deleted her Instagram just weeks after her solo debut after receiving backlash for her fashion choices.

“Profile isn’t available,” Instagram alerts users who try to search for the tween’s profile as on Monday, January 5. “This link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed.”

West, 12, launched her first solo social media profile on December 20, after years of sharing a TikTok page with her mom, Kim Kardashian.

It didn’t take long for West’s Instagram to blow up, growing to nearly half a million followers in just two days.

The preteen, whom Kardashian, 45, shares with ex-husband Kanye West, has been hit with backlash over her risque fashion and accessory choices in recent months. Most recently, she shared a photo of herself wearing what appeared to be a fake piercing on the bridge of her nose.

Fans first noticed the new body jewelry in a video shared via TikTok on Saturday, January 3. She seemed to rock a lip ring while donning hip-length blue hair, a shiny black grill and a black mini-skirt.

As Globe previously reported, North has a history of experimenting with faux piercings and tattoos in her TikTok videos over the past few months.

The edgy Kardashian offspring completed her look with a spike cuff bracelet, bedazzled spike skull necklace and metal spikes on her nails.

It remains unclear whether the criticism caused North to shut down her Instagram, or if her parents made the decision for her.
