TMZ published the photos on Wednesday, August 19, showing the couple seated outside an apartment building in what an eyewitness described as a “tense” exchange.
The source told the outlet the couple “spent roughly 30 minutes on and off their phones and appeared visibly stressed.”
The photos mark his first public sighting since testifying in his ex-wife’s ongoing trial in July.
Lindsay, 36, is on trial for strangling her three children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan, inside the family’s Duxbury home in January 2023. She has pleaded not guilty, with her defense arguing she was not criminally responsible due to severe postpartum psychosis.

Globe previously reported in July that Patrick’s remarriage first became public in July, when his attorney, David Meier, asked the court to restrict public access to some of the case’s most sensitive evidence, including his 911 call, the children’s autopsy records and crime-scene images.
Meier argued that releasing the material could cause lasting harm; prosecutors have objected to the request, according to the report.
Despite the tragic circumstances, Patrick has remained publicly supportive of Lindsay.

In a GoFundMe post launched just days after the children’s deaths in 2023, he publicly forgave Lindsay and wrote, “Our marriage was wonderful and diametrically grew stronger as her condition rapidly worsened. I took as much pride in being her husband as I did in being a father and felt persistently lucky to have her in my life.”
He continued, “She loved being a nurse, but nothing matched her intense love for our kids and dedication to being a mother. It was all she ever wanted. Her passion taught me how to be a better father.”
Patrick also asked the public for compassion toward his ex-wife. “I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have,” he wrote.
“The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone, me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”
Patrick again supported Lindsay by testifying in late July. During his testimony, he revealed that Lindsay’s mental health began deteriorating in December 2022 after a medication change, and that she told her father that same month she had intrusive thoughts of harming herself.

If convicted of first-degree murder, Lindsay faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. But if the jury sides with her and is convinced that the mother of three was not criminally responsible for her children’s deaths, she would be committed to a state psychiatric hospital in Massachusetts, where she has already been receiving treatment since her arrest.
