Kim Kardashian, 44, is officially closing the door on her skincare and makeup venture, SKKN by Kim, after just three years in business.
The reality mogul’s beauty brand website now displays a farewell message to customers: “With deep gratitude, we share that SKKN BY KIM will be winding down operations and officially closing on June 29th, 2025. While this chapter is coming to a close, the commitment to innovation, self-care, and skin confidence that SKKN embodied will live on in new and exciting ways.”
Kardashian had big dreams for the beauty brand. Shortly before launching it in 2024, she told Harper’s Bazaar that she “always wanted to shut everything down and launch one beauty brand that would have everything you could imagine, from skincare, color cosmetics, fragrance, hair care, nails—whatever, you know, is under the beauty umbrella.”

But SKKN struggled from day one with its luxury price point. The nine-step skincare routine cost over $600, pricing out many fans. To date, SKKN has never achieved the cultural impact of Kardashian’s $4 billion-dollar Skims empire.
It’s not surprising Kardashian is shuttering the brand. As Globe previously reported, the reality star — who graduated from her law program earlier this year and will be starring in Ryan Murphy’s All Fair — is attempting to scale back on her jam-packed schedule.
“Between her growing business empire and her kids, and her ambitions with social justice and her law career, there just aren’t enough hours in the day,” says the source. “Something has to give.”
