Dr. Jill Biden dropped some serious money on a chance to win a walk-on role in season 2 of the spicy sports series Heated Rivalry. However, she didn’t end up winning the grand prize.
According to Variety, the former First Lady, 74, offered up a shocking $35,000 to appear on the drama about rival professional hockey players (played by Connor Storie and Hudson Williams) who began a very steamy relationship in season 1.
Biden’s massive bid wasn’t just for the love of the series: She was a surprise guest at the NYC LGBT Community Center’s Center Dinner on Thursday, April 16, which was auctioning off a number of items and rewards related to the show.
All the money spent on auction items, including Biden’s $35,000, went to The NYC LGBT Community Center, which advocates for LGBTQ+ people living in New York City, offering support, access to healthcare, and helping fight for legal justice for the community.

Those who tune in won’t see Shane and Ilya bump into Biden in the new episodes, as she was ultimately outbid for the walk-on role. The prize ended up being sold for $125,000.
It was a big night for Heated Rivalry. In addition to raising money for the organization, the beloved show’s creator Jacob Tierney and his producing partner, Brendan Brady, were honored at the event with the Cultural Impact Award. It was presented to them by none other than Rachel Reid, who wrote the Game Changers book series that the show is based on.
Season 2 of Heated Rivalry will reportedly be based on Reid’s book The Long Game. The outlet reports it’s expected to hit HBO Max in April of 2027, with filming beginning this summer.
