Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Have Awkward Run-In at ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ Premiere

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck recently reunited in the Big Apple for a movie premiere.

On Monday, October 6, Lopez, 56, and Affleck, 53, hit the red carpet in New York City for their film, Kiss of a Spider Woman, which the “Waiting for Tonight” singer starred in and the Oscar winner produced.

As Lopez was talking to Access Hollywood, she spotted the Good Will Hunting actor — whom she was married to from 2021 to 2024 — behind her, leading to an awkward interaction that was caught on camera.

“You’re here!” Lopez laughed when she saw Affleck.

“Picture?” he asked.

“Yes, I’ll get in the picture right now,” she responded before finishing up her interview and then joining him for photos.

Affleck later gushed about his ex-wife to Entertainment Tonight while on the red carpet.

“I wouldn’t dream of not being here. This is an incredible story,” he told the outlet. “This is the kind of role I think that Jennifer has wanted to play her whole career, and she’s fabulous in the movie. I’m really excited for people to get a chance to see Kiss of the Spider Woman because she’s great.”

As Globe previously reported, the Monster in Law actress appeared on Today on Monday, October 6, and was asked by host Craig Melvin what it was like working with Affleck on this project as they were finalizing their divorce.

“Things happen, you have to keep going. But it’s funny, the movie is about escapism. It’s about how movies and art save us in the hardest times of our lives,” Lopez explained. “Doing this project was such a dream come true for me that it really got me through to kind of survive a moment that was difficult in my personal life as well.”

Kiss of the Spider Woman hits theaters Friday, October 10.
