JD Vance declared himself “a vice president who practices what he preaches.” In a January 23 speech at the March for Life in Washington, DC, the Hillbilly Elegy author, 41, who is currently expecting his fourth child with wife Usha Vance, shared his view that all Americans should be having more children.

“To our fellow Americans, we say, you’re never gonna find great meaning in a cubicle or in front of a computer screen,” the Ohio native told the crowd at the annual anti-abortion event. “But you will find great meaning if you dedicate yourself to the creation and sustenance of human life.”
Elsewhere in the speech, Vance discussed the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022, calling it “the most important Supreme Court decision of my lifetime.”

He also talked about “building a culture of life” in America and discussed the Trump administration’s tax policies.
Vance and Usha, 40, who already share sons Ewan, 8, and Vivek, 5, and daughter Mirabel, 4, announced Usha’s pregnancy in an Instagram post on January 20.
