Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Under Fire Over North West’s Safety, Image: Celebrities ‘Judge Them’

Blue-haired and heavily pierced North West is making headlines — but perhaps not for the reasons she and her parents were hoping for.

The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently sparked controversy when she attended the Vetements Menswear Spring 2027 Show during Paris Fashion Week without her parents. Instead, the rising rapper — following in the footsteps of her father — was accompanied by just one security guard and seated next to her mom’s stylist, Danielle Levi, reports said.

A clip posted to X caught British rapper Skepta‘s attention, showing North trying to shake a man’s hand before he instead hugged the teenager.

“A blind man could see she wanted a handshake kmt,” Skepta wrote, adding that seeing “complete strangers” trying to “use North makes me sick.”

Now, insiders have told Daily Mail that Skepta is far from the only star growing concerned for North’s wellbeing in the spotlight.

“Artists are super conscious about protecting their kids from the industry. Some people close to Kanye love Kim but feel that not enough is being done to keep adults away from North. Other celebs do judge them,” an insider told the outlet.

Meanwhile, Kanye, 49, has been vocal about his differences with ex-wife Kim when it comes to parenting.

“Kanye isn’t completely on board with everyone who is in charge with looking after North,” a separate source told Daily Mail. The source added that he is currently making moves “to ensure North has the protection and boundaries she needs.”

“No child should be placed in a position where adult men feel entitled to crowd her, comment on her, or seek photos with her in a way that treats her as public property,” the source added. “Ye believes the focus should be on condemning that behavior, not packaging it as spectacle.”

The second source added: “Ye is taking this seriously… This behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

Despite his alleged concerns, West did not join his daughter at the fashion show on Friday, June 26, instead celebrating his birthday with wife Bianca Censori at the Château de Versailles, per the report. Meanwhile, Kim was reportedly celebrating her sister Khloé Kardashian‘s 42nd birthday.

Sources told Globe in February that Kim has been struggling to keep up with her own and her daughter’s hectic schedules. “[Kim’s] overwhelmed as it is and now North really needs her,” a source told Globe at the time. “She’s not going to hand over the reins for North’s career to anyone, so the only solution has been getting a lot of hands on deck for her stuff.”

As Globe previously reported, on Wednesday, June 17, North announced via an Instagram post that she would be going on her first-ever music tour with Molly Santana.
