Influencer Thaís Moura, 31, has died following a motorcycle accident.
The deadly accident occurred in Volta Redonda, a city in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro state, according to a translated report from Brazilian outlet g1 published on July 13. Moura was killed in the early hours of Sunday, July 12, when the motorcycle she was on crashed on Via Sérgio Braga, in the city’s Conforto neighborhood.
On her Instagram bio, Moura identified herself as a content creator with more than four million views. She also had more than 63,000 followers on the platform, where she described herself as a content creator who shared beauty content, gifted products and brand partnerships.
It was raining at the time of the accident, per the report, and Moura was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her 22-year-old partner as the pair returned from a festival. Hours earlier, Moura had shared what appears to have been one of her final Instagram posts, including a photo of herself holding a phone displaying the Portuguese message, “Hoje alguém vai chorar,” which translates to “Today someone will cry.”

According to g1, police were dispatched to investigate the crash but arrived to find that emergency responders had already taken both riders to São João Batista Hospital. Moura died at the hospital from her injuries. Her partner was treated, kept under observation, and later discharged.
The driver told officers he could not recall details of the crash itself, only that he had been riding on the road before finding himself on the ground beside Moura, per the report. Investigators determined during the report-taking process that he did not have a National Driver’s License (CNH).
The motorcycle was left at the scene because no towing service was available at the time, according to the outlet. The case was formally registered at a police station in Volta Redonda, where the driver was given guidance from officers on the legal and administrative steps tied to the incident.
A wake for Moura began Sunday night, with her burial scheduled the following day at a private cemetery, per the report.
