Police were dispatched to Frankie Valli‘s Los Angeles home on Sunday, May 3, People reported on Tuesday, May 5. Per dispatch audio obtained by the outlet, a man was “banging on the door demanding entry.”
A source confirmed to the publication that the man in question was Valli’s son Francesco, 38. Officers responded within minutes, but found no evidence of a crime, the outlet added. The air unit cleared the scene by 5:14 p.m. — and less than a minute later, a second call came in from the same address for a “family dispute — restraining order violation,” per the dispatch audio.
A rep for Valli, an iconic Las Vegas performer, downplayed the situation, telling the outlet, “This is a private family matter, and it was resolved before the authorities arrived.”

The incident is the latest chapter in an ongoing family rift. Valli, 92, and his younger son Emilio, 31, were granted a three-year restraining order against Francesco in April 2024, after Francesco allegedly attempted to break into his father’s property. According to the report, Emilio claimed in the filing that Francesco had “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” both him and their father, and said the threats had escalated after Valli financially cut Francesco off.
Under the order, Francesco is barred from any contact with Valli or Emilio and must stay at least 100 yards from their homes, vehicles, and workplaces. The order remains in effect until April 29, 2027.

The turmoil is just the latest heartbreak for the iconic singer, who has weathered devastating family tragedy. Two of Valli’s three daughters from his first marriage to Mary Mandel — Celia and Francine — both died in separate incidents in 1980 at ages 25 and 20 respectively.
Valli rose to fame as the lead singer of The Four Seasons, the group behind timeless hits like “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” Their legacy was later celebrated in the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys and its 2014 film adaptation.
