Fans React After Benny Blanco Reveals His ‘Crazy’ Expensive Blueberry Snack: ‘Watching From District 13’

Benny Blanco found himself in the hot seat after he shared a TikTok video of himself indulging in a box of very pricey fruit.

Blanco, 37, showed off a box of large blueberries that had been individually packaged and sent to him in the clip shared on August 23. While it wasn’t clear if the songwriter had purchased the “crazy” expensive fruit with his own money, Blanco did add that he believed they cost “like $200.”

“It’s like a f**king meal,” he said while popping the monstrous berries into his mouth. “They’re f**king huge. They’re delicious.”

However, people in the comments section were turned off by the cost of the blueberries.

“Sir, we’re not rich enough to relate to this,” one TikTok user wrote, while another added, “Meantime I can’t afford regular fruit.”

A third person referenced the impoverished districts in the popular books series The Hunger Games and said, “Watching from district 13.”

Several others pointed out the “tone deaf” message of the video.

“I wish I could afford $200 for blueberries. Each time I go to the supermarket I spend $200 at least and using coupons and buying sales items… Benny I like you but I wouldn’t pay that much money for blueberries …life out here is tough, really tough,” another chimed in.

However, there were at least a few people who defended the hitmaker behind Justin Bieber’s “Lonely” as one said, “Let him eat his blueberries. You didn’t pay for them, they affect you in no way! Where can I get some???”
