Megyn Kelly Rips Jill Biden for ‘Infirm’ Husband Joe’s Surprise Guest Appearance at Book Event

Jill Biden‘s latest book tour stop has become the subject of fresh criticism after Joe Biden made a surprise appearance, prompting Megyn Kelly to question whether the former president should be attending public events amid his ongoing health challenges.

During the Thursday, June 4, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the journalist was joined by Maureen Callahan and the pair reacted to footage from Joe’s appearance at a New York event, in which he was seen approaching the stage and asking his wife, “Who do you love most in the whole world?”

“There was this moment at the 92NY in New York on Tuesday where she was doing her book event, and guess who made a guest appearance. Awkward AF, as the kids say,” Kelly, 55, said. “That pisses me off, and the reason that pisses me off is that if they had their way, he’d be president right now.”

“He’s infirm,” Kelly continued. “Literally they wanted him to be the leader of the free world right now.”

“Only because Trump stopped him did it not happen. It’s incredible to me to see him as he deteriorates even further, just the obviousness of their lie,” she added. “Of course, we all knew it. I’m just saying there it is, the evidence, more evidence of it, and it’s so glaring, and it’s galling.”

Callahan, for her part, was more troubled by Joe’s appearance and argued that someone facing serious health issues should not be expected to attend a lengthy public event. (He’s currently battling stage 4 prostate cancer.)

“Do you know how enervating that is for someone who is that sick? And then to have to sit there for two hours and be transported back and forth,” Callahan ranted. “That is not a kind act that you do for the man you say you love more than anybody.”

As Globe previously reported, Kelly took aim at Biden earlier this week and accused her of trying to cover up Joe’s cognitive decline while he served as president. To make matters worse, Jill recently admitted that she now doesn’t believe her husband could have served a second term.

The former Fox News reporter was furious with the confession.

“All the news from then that day to this has been about how bitter Jill and Joe are that he was forced out of the campaign after that, how the indignity of it, how unfair they thought it was,” Kelly said on Monday, June 1, “and now she admits the whole reason she said you answered every question is because it was the only true statement she could think of to say to him after what she recognized was a disaster.”
