Family Finds Photo of Themselves on the Wall of Their Airbnb Rental: ‘Weirdest Thing’

A family’s vacation took an unexpected twist after they arrived at their San Diego Airbnb and realized a framed photo decorating the rental featured them enjoying a day at the beach years earlier.

In a TikTok video that quickly went viral, two sisters shared how their family quickly realized that a photo of people at the beach wasn’t a stock photo.

“Ok, guys, the weirdest thing happened,” one of the sisters began in the clip. “We get to our Airbnb in San Diego, and we’re, like, looking through it. No connections to [the rental]. We’re looking at this picture and my dad is like, ‘This looks like me.'”

She then pointed to a man seen in the ocean in the image. While she was skeptical of her dad’s claim at first, she looked closer and realized it actually was her father. The girl went on to point out her sister and her brother in the picture.

“We have those swimsuits,” the second sister added. “We are literally in this picture.”

The sisters never discovered how the photo made it into the rental home, but commenters couldn’t get over the crazy coincidence.

“It’s because of CERN. lol,” one TikTok user wrote, referring to the European Organization for Nuclear Research, which operates the Large Hadron Collider. The comment referenced a popular online conspiracy theory claiming the particle accelerator’s recent June 29 shutdown triggered a “timeline shift,” or altered reality.

“Proof we live in a simulation,” another person wrote.

Other TikTok users shared similar bizarre coincidences they had previously experienced themselves.
