After President Donald Trump asserted he “would have won Vietnam very quickly,” Representative Chris Deluzio laughed at the claim.
“You know, judging by how this Iran war is going, I’m not sure I agree,” Deluzio, a democrat from Pennsylvania, told TMZ on Tuesday, April 21. “Look, he started this war that we don’t need to fight. A lot of people talk real tough about war, they beat the drum for war. And then we’ve got to fight them to fund the VA.”
“I just looked at a little chart: World War I, four years and three months. World War II, six years. Korean War, three years. Vietnam, 19 years. Iraq, eight years — I’m five months [in Iran],” the former Apprentice host, 79, said. “I would have won Vietnam very quickly. I would have, if I were president.”

His remarks were met with confusion as the MAGA leader famously dodged the mandatory draft in the late 1960s. He was initially granted four deferments during his time in college at the University of Pennsylvania.
However, when he became eligible after graduating, Trump’s podiatrist attested that the now-president suffers from bone spurs, which made him ineligible for military service.
