Demi Lovato Finally Lets Long-Lost Sister ‘Poot’ Out of the Basement With Epic Halloween Costume

Demi Lovato gave fans a hilarious Halloween treat this year by bringing back one of the internet’s most iconic memes, Poot Lovato.

The singer, 33, shared a series of photos and TikToks to Instagram on Thursday, October 30, with the caption, “happy halloween and happy one week of intd!!! been so locked in this era thought i’d let pootvato out 🔒🤍”.

Lovato went all in on the transformation by wearing a fitted white long-sleeve top and flowing ivory skirt cinched with a metallic belt, perfectly recreating the bizarre look from the viral photo.

Lovato’s slicked-back hair, pale foundation and exaggerated blush completed the uncanny resemblance.

The meme first surfaced back in 2015, when a Tumblr user posted an overexposed, edited photo of Lovato and jokingly claimed it was the singer’s “secret twin sister” who’d been locked in a basement. The internet instantly latched onto the joke, and “Poot Lovato” became meme royalty overnight.

Nearly a decade later, Poot is finally out of the basement — and fans are clearly eating it up, commenting, ” POOT IS SOOO BACK WE DID IT!!!!!! 🤣” and “This is the funniest thing someone has ever done”.

Lovato’s husband, Jutes, 34, may have said it best, writing: “Alright Halloween is over everyone. Pack it up. It belongs to Demi this year—better luck next year”.
