Cher’s Son Elijah Blue Allman to Stand Trial in Latest Legal Case

Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman has waived his arraignment in connection to his latest legal troubles, with his case now moving toward trial.

Allman, 49, was arrested in February when he attempted to trespass into a girls’ dormitory at St. Paul’s School, a private school in New Hampshire. On March 4, the Daily Mail reported that school officials claimed that Allman — the son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman — told them that he was “a prospective parent.”

According to a report from WMUR on Tuesday, April 21, Allman was charged on February 27 with two counts of simple assault, along with criminal trespassing, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct. He was later released on his own recognizance, meaning he didn’t have to pay bail but must return for future court appearances.

As Globe previously reported, Allman was arrested once again two days later when he allegedly broke into a home in Windham, New Hampshire.

Police responded to a report of a break-in and when they arrived, they discovered Allman “seated on the living room couch, smoking a cigarette,” according to local news outlet Patch. He was charged with felony burglary, breach of bail, felony criminal mischief, and misdemeanor mischief charges.

The news of Allman’s trial date came just days after The Daily Enquirer reported that Cher, 79, discovered she had a secret granddaughter that he had kept her away from for over a decade.

“Elijah first told Cher about this in 2021,” a source told the publication on April 2. “Cher knew that she had a potential grandchild but didn’t know it was true until recently as she’s had contact with the mother.”

The source continued, “Elijah has known for the whole time – the whole 15 years – but only decided to tell people in 2021 as he was having issues. He’s met her and there are pictures of the pair.”

However, due to his and his mom’s contentious relationship, the Burlesque star hasn’t been able to get close with the teen.

“Elijah has never wanted his mom to be in the kid’s life because of their damaged relationship,” the source shared with the Daily Enquirer. “He wanted to protect her from Cher.”

Allman’s struggles with drugs has seemingly only gotten worse lately, and just last week Cher filed for conservatorship over him for the second time in less than three years.
